The Jordan is the taller and slimmer of the two Onua vase, hand-formed in stoneware with a plain silhouette and unornamented surface, built around its vertical line.

Soil is one of the collection’s pigmented clay bodies, coloured throughout with mineral and organic pigments blended into the clay. The colour reads as a deep, saturated blackish-brown, the tone of inland earth drenched by the rains, dark and rich with moisture. The interior is finished with a clear glaze, leaving a smooth, reflective surface against the raw clay outside.

Each piece has natural variations in tone, texture, and form inherent to the process.
