The Jordan is the taller and slimmer of the two Onua vessels, hand-formed in stoneware with a plain silhouette and unornamented surface, built around its vertical line.
Riverbank is one of the collection’s pigmented clay bodies, coloured throughout with mineral and organic pigments blended into the clay along with cocoa husk ash, which gives the body a deep iron-rich red tone and darker flecks across the surface. The vessel is worked first with palm fibre, then hand-sanded, producing the warm shifts and darker transitions visible across the body. The interior is finished with a clear glaze, leaving a smooth, reflective surface against the raw clay outside.
Each piece has natural variations in tone, texture, and form inherent to the process.
