The Jordan is the taller and slimmer of the two Onua vessels, hand-formed in stoneware with a plain silhouette and unornamented surface, built around its vertical line.
Soil is one of the collection’s pigmented clay bodies, coloured throughout with mineral and organic pigments blended into the clay. The colour reads as a deep mineral tone with scorched, charcoal hues, drawn from the dark, fire-touched earth of West African soils after the dry season. The interior is finished with a clear glaze, leaving a smooth, reflective surface against the raw clay outside.
Each piece has natural variations in tone, texture, and form inherent to the process.
